Have you seen dystopian movies or read dystopian novels where they abolish choice and give you government mandated shit? You are driving your government provided car to your government work in your government jumpsuit watching your government propaganda eating your government provided lunch. You then go home to your government housing which looks the same as all the other houses and you get to use your government provided cellphone to go on government social media where you can say one of a few government approved messages or you risk tanking your social credit score? Thats where we are heading towards. People need food, shelter, and entertainment. Is the government going to provide everything for you? If you can feed yourself you can feed your kids. If the government has to feed your kid at school what prevent the kid from starving at home? Quick, better kidnap the kid and put them in a government orphanage before they die

Why do people expect it to be free? I mean, yes sure, it's nice that the kids have their meals, and I'm all for it, but it's not exactly "free", and I don't understand why people expect the school to give it to them, when they have parents that should be taking care of it.
